Without shipping the import/export of affordable food and goods would not be possible-half the world starves and the other half will freeze! Seaborne trade continues to expand, bringing benefits for consumers across the world through competitive freight costs.

In addition, the maritime domain itself is responsible for thousands of job on vessel, ports, shipyards, cargo sector and numerous support industries. clearly, the maritime system is comprised of a myriad of users, supply chains, and connections to other modes and industries.

MBA programme is approved & designed by The School of Maritime Management and Indian Maritime University, The school apart from its exclusive identity as a center of specialist education, also has institutional collaboration with premier maritime institutions around the world, viz, Technical University, Delft, Netherlands; STC-NMU, Netherlands; Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, UK.

There are two MBA (Master of Business Administration) programs :
(1) Port and Shipping Management.
(2) International Transportation and logistics Management.
The general objective of MBA in Port and Shipping Management is to ensure that after successfully completing this programme, the young students can obtain management positions in the shipping, cargo and port industry. Further the students are equipped to solve complicated management problems, having gained required knowledge and competency such as integrated multi-disciplinary professional knowledge on shipping and transport at the highest academic level and skills to apply this knowledge on tactical and strategic level in the port shipping industry.

The general objectives of MBA in International Transportation and Logistics Management are to enable the students to have a detailed knowledge and understanding of both the operations and strategies of shipping as a single transport mode within the context of international multimodal logistics. The course provides the students not only with a solid basis in managerial subjects but also with in-depth knowledge of the supply chain and logistics sector and the latest developments in transport management.

Eligibility : A Bachelor degree in any discipline with 50% of marks from recognized Universities (Incorporated by an Act of the Central or state Legislature in India.)

Duration of course : 2 years (Residential)

Documents Required : The filled in application form along with, with the following documents :- A complete Curriculum Vitae and a recent passport size photograph. Attested copy of the degree certificate, statement of marks, Transfer Certificate (TC) and relevant academic transcript.

Selection Procedure : "PHOENIX MARITIME SERVICES PVT LTD" Undertakes an Aptitude and written tests follow by an interview. The final selection will only takes place after medical check-up through our panel (Note: Selection of the candidates and their admissions will be through combined Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Indian Maritime University & it is mandatory for candidates to qualify in CET test conducted by IMU to seek admission in MBA (port and Shipping Management, International Transportation and logistics Management.) Program of IMU . PHOENIX MARITIME IS NOT RESPONSIBLE IF CANDIDATES FAIL TO QUALIFY IMU CET TEST.)

Details pertaining to MBA CET : Duration of exam is of 180 min (3 hrs.). The question paper has 6 components, namely 1. Economics 2. Accountancy 3. General Knowledge 4. General Aptitude 5. General Mathematics 6. General English (Note: Each component will be given equal weightage.)

MBA in Port & Shipping Management : This programme has been designed to develop a thorough grasp of different aspects of shipping operations by providing a detailed understanding of the principles and practices of modern terminal and shipping management. It is a unique course conducted by very few universities and institutions around the globe.

MBA IN INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT

This program is aimed at the generation of managers who would like to qualify for management positions in logistics companies with an international orientation. In this programme, the students are trained systematically in management skills, soft skills, teamwork skills and interpersonal skills. The programme primarily focuses on an integrated approach to logistics, logistics networks.
